Challenge:

“Work where others would like to work” – according to this principle, Satellite Office has been offering flexible offices and workstations in the luxury segment for 25 years. Always at the best address in town, Satellite Office is the pioneer for first-class premium workspaces in the leading business metropolises of Germany and Switzerland. There are four Satellite Offices in Berlin alone.

In addition to high quality requirements in terms of acoustics and equipment, Satellite Office also makes no compromises when it comes to security. Due to the flexibility Satellite Office offers its high-profile customers, the workspace specialist was looking for a locking solution that is very flexible and independent of time and location. In addition, the solution also had to be suitable for use in a listed building whose historical appearance and valuable doors must not be damaged.

The building complex around Kurfürstendamm 15 once the luxury cinema “Gloria Berlin” was located, in which Marlene Dietrich attracted world attention with “The Blue Angel”. Today, one of the newest Satellite Offices, including a roof terrace, is located in the historic building, which has been renovated with great attention to detail.

Solution:

Satellite Office opted for the eCLIQ electronic locking system from ASSA ABLOY’s traditional IKON brand. The durable and timeless aesthetic components combine high electronic and mechanical security in one. Another argument for using it in the historic building was the ease of installation, as doors and components do not need to be wired. The power supply is provided by a standard battery in the key. Satellite Office uses CLIQ® Local Manager to manage the eCLIQ locking system. The user-friendly programme is installed locally on a PC and is therefore ideally suited to the location of Gloria Berlin and other Satellite Offices.
