Challange

With over 1,500 employees, Ratiodata is one of the leading system houses and service providers for banking technology and document digitization in Germany. In addition to the financial services industry, the company mainly serves organisations with high regulatory requirements. A nationwide network of service technicians and high-performance competence centres provide reliable services for IT and self-service infrastructures. As a multi-vendor service provider, Ratiodata is the market leader for manufacturer-independent services in the self-service banking sector. The company is also one of the leading providers in the areas of scanning and document services as well as banking technology.In order to achieve the strategic growth potential, a significant expansion of logistics and repair capacities was required. A new, modern building was therefore built at the Koblenz site, in the immediate vicinity of the previous headquarters in Mülheim-Kärlich. The repair centre was significantly expanded, the logistics area was equipped with innovative storage and conveying technology and supplemented by an office area and a casino. For security and flexibility, the mechanical master key system used at the previous location had to be replaced by an electronic master key system.

Solution

The company opted for the IKON eCLIQ digital locking system. Alfred Horn GmbH & Co. KG was commissioned with the planning, delivery and installation. The electronic system impresses with its compact, distinctive design and particularly robust, durable components. The power supply is provided by a standard battery in the key. However, the decisive factor was the high level of flexibility in management: Access authorisations can be adjusted quickly and easily with eCLIQ; lost keys can be deactivated immediately. Control takes place via the user-friendly CLIQ® Web Manager, a scalable software solution that can be integrated easily into existing processes.
