Challenge:
Eurasburg is located in the Loisach Valley, near Lake Starnberg in Bavaria. The some 4,400 inhabitants live in a total of 52 districts covering an area of almost 41 square kilometres.
The municipality was looking for a new, flexible, electronic locking solution that would meet today’s security standards for various buildings, including the town hall, school buildings, a public works yard, the town hall in Achmühle and the fire stations in Beuerberg, Herrhausen and Eurasburg. Until now, the buildings, some far apart from one another, had featured an IKON-brand mechanical master key system dating from 1976. The municipality had been very satisfied with this system for many years.
Solution:
The municipality of Eurasburg decided on the eCLIQ digital master key system from the time-tested IKON brand, which offers maximum flexibility with modern master key system management. The reliable, uncomplicated solution stands out due to its compact form, striking design and robust, durable, secure components.
This master key system can be managed via a flexible, easily scalable cloud-based platform using CLIQ® Web Manager. The software is particularly suitable for large master key systems or when a number of locations are far apart from one another, as is the case in Eurasburg. As the client is platform-independent and thus suitable for any standard web browser, it was easily installed on the municipality’s server landscape.
It was also crucial that eCLIQ would be able to change access authorisations easily and flexibly by issuing access rights. Lost keys are simply deactivated. Authorisations with time and room restrictions are also possible. For instance, technicians can be issued a single authorisation for a specific task or cleaners can be granted access at specific times.
