Why doesn't MEDIATOR have to be wired in the door leaf?

The difference between the MEDIATOR and a conventional motorised lock is the unlocking process: In the motorised lock, the  motor of the lock in the door pulls the bolt.

MEDIATOR is unlocked from the frame side using the linear electric strike. Electric wiring is therefore only required in the frame and there is no need to wire the door leaf and set a cable transition.

MEDIATOR fulfills all the requirements that you place on a motorised lock - and that up to 50% cheaper than a motor lock!

Only the electric strikes needs to be wired in the frame - you do not need to install a cable transition for the door leaf for the electrical control. The effort is reduced accordingly - you save time and money!

MEDIATOR - can do the same as a motorised lock

The mechanical lock offers self-locking and a panic function. I.e. concerning insurance reasons, the door is always locked as soon as it has fallen into the latch. At the same time, the escape route is always open from the inside in the case of emergency - even without a key.

The door is controlled electrically via the electric strike: the door can be opened comfortably using the button in the apartment as usual. A combination with access control, intrusion alarm system or automatic door drive is possible.

Retrofitting a swing door drive

Once the MEDIATOR has been installed, door automation can also be retrofitted easily and cheaply - MEDIATOR already has the VdS-certified bolt switch contact required on board.

Multi-point locking for increased intrusion protection

If you want even more protection against intrusion: MEDIATOR is also available as multi-point lock locking the door at three points with a main lock and two secondary locks.

Lock the front door at night - yes or no? With MEDIATOR, the question no longer arises in apartment buildings.

With MEDIATOR, the main door is now permanently locked - day and night. Thus, the apartments are well protected from burglars and other uninvited guests. The house can be left at any time - in the case of emergency and in "normal operation" - even without a key. The front door can also be opened at any time using the electric strike button in the apartment, even when the door is permanently locked by the self-locking mechanism.
