The Spark key works without battery!

Spark symbolizes a spark of innovation, an igniting idea - and that is exactly what this world first is all about: The Spark key is the first battery-free eCLIQ key that generates its own energy.

As independent as a mechanical key, as smart as an electronic key

As the only one of the new eCLIQ keys, the Spark does not require a battery for its use and is therefore very sustainable. It can be used independently as a mechanical key, but unlike the latter, it has many of the electronic functions typical of CLIQ®.

How does Spark work?

The energy required for the locking function and for checking access authorizations is generated by a generator in the key during insertion into the cylinder.

Data is transferred between the eCLIQ locking cylinder and Spark Schlüssel with the usual high level of protection against manipulation and intelligent attacks that has always characterized the CLIQ® family locking system.

A battery-free eCLIQ key - so many advantages:

  • It closes all 60+ available cylinder types and styles
  • The plus in security and aesthetics: thanks to their flush fit, all eCLIQ cylinders cannot be seen to be part of an electronic locking system
  • The Spark key impresses with its great robustness, high processing quality and high-quality materials such as stainless steel and fiberglass-reinforced plastic
