Hungry ASSA ABLOY sets higher goals

Thanks to an extensive restructuring program ASSA ABLOY's profitability is increasing again. The management is ready to set higher goals and to increase the acquisition tempo. ASSA ABLOY has been increasingly active when it comes to acquisitions on the most expansive segments of the lock market.
For a few years, ASSA ABLOY has been in a consolidation phase and the company has been focusing on coordinating the acquired businesses. Today, things are looking up. The profitability is increasing, and so is the growth. The organic growth is currently at an excellent 8 percent. During the first six month of 2007 ASSA ABLOY acquired companies to a total value of SEK 600m and the group has also become main owner of China's biggest high safety lock manufacturer.
