Architecture as Environment with Kevin Roche

Plentiful are the famous and spectacular buildings that originate from renowned Pritzker Prize winning architect Kevin Roche. ASSA ABLOY is proud sponsor of the exhibition titled Kevin Roche: Architecture as Environment.

In the video about Kevin Roche, his work and the exhibition, Kevin Roche himself says that architects are there to serve the community and to enrich people’s lives.

Thanasis Molokotos, executive vice president ASSA ABLOY and Head of the Americas division, commented about the exhibition sponsorship: “Kevin Roche believes in many principles we share within the ASSA ABLOY Group. The exhibition, named Architecture as Environment due to Roche’s belief that a building is not separate from its surroundings. He brings the surroundings and the work done by the employees into the architecture and is sensitive to how the building effects the environment so that all become one . “I have found over the years that people always react well to trees and flowers. One of the aspects then of people and buildings is that you never want to get to far away from the outdoors.”
