Senior Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions

You will lead and manage the end-to-end M&A process by coordinating with internal teams, external advisors, and senior leadership to evaluate, support, and execute acquisition opportunities. You will be responsible for leading due diligence, constructing financial models, performing market research, managing the opportunity pipeline, creating presentations to support the decision-making process for executive leadership, and helping to ensure the smooth integration of new businesses into the organization.
This role will be based onsite in New Haven, CT on a full-time basis.
What You Will Be Doing
You will manage M&A activities from initial evaluation through post-close integration. Your key activities include leading due diligence, developing financial models, analyzing markets and competitors, managing the deal pipeline, and preparing materials for executive leadership. Success requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transaction execution from signed LOI through closing, including process planning, diligence coordination, valuation updates, negotiation support, approvals, and closing readiness.
- Manage cross-functional due diligence workstreams involving finance, tax, legal, environmental, quality, safety, operations, commercial, IT, HR, compliance, and other functional teams; identify key risks, resolve open items, and maintain accountability against the transaction timeline.
- Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, synergy assessments, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and deal structuring
- Partner with internal and external legal, financial, and tax advisors on transaction structure, purchase agreement terms, working capital mechanisms, transition services arrangements, and other key deal matters
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities, including strategic fit, market attractiveness, competitive positioning, financial performance, operational capabilities, and value-creation potential
- Prepare materials for executive leadership that clearly communicate investment rationale, valuation, key risks, diligence findings, and recommendations
- Support integration planning and Day 1 readiness, with particular attention to value-creation priorities, risk mitigation, ownership, and performance tracking
- Contribute to continuous improvement of M&A processes, templates, diligence standards, and transaction governance
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of direct M&A transaction experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or a comparable M&A focused role
- Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple transaction processes from LOI through closing
- Prior experience working with industrial or manufacturing businesses, with an understanding of operational considerations such as production, supply chain, distribution, working capital, and capital investment
- Expertise in financial modeling and business valuation techniques (including DCF)
- Deep knowledge of due diligence, transaction structuring, purchase agreement concepts, and closing processes
- Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects, manage multiple priorities, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to create clear, impactful presentations that synthesize complex information and provide clear guidance to executive leadership
- Knowledge of M&A best practices, industry standards, and regulatory considerations
- Willingness to travel as needed to support transaction activity across the Americas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry knowledge in locks, door hardware, access control, or electronic security
- Familiarity with electronic access control, automated doors, and cloud-based solutions
- Experience integrating manufacturing businesses, including supply chain and distribution
- Understanding of relevant product and safety certifications (UL, ANSI)
- Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, PMP, or M&A-related credentials)

The annualized salary for this role is $160,000-190,000. The final pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role. Benefits and additional compensation offered for this position are:
