  • The ASSA ABLOY Test Centre is proudly UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, demonstrating our commitment to independent, competent, and reliable testing.
  • UKAS (the United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is the UK’s sole National Accreditation Body, recognised by the UK Government to assess organisations that provide testing, certification, inspection, calibration, and verification services. Often described as “checking the checkers”, UKAS ensures that accredited organisations meet rigorous national and international standards for technical competence, impartiality, and performance.
  • This accreditation provides assurance that testing carried out at the ASSA ABLOY Test Centre is accurate, consistent, and delivered to the highest recognised standards.

Why UKAS Accreditation Matters

  • UK Government policy recommends using UKAS‑accredited services wherever possible, as accreditation gives confidence that results are independent, repeatable, and reliable.
  • Under the UK Accreditation Regulations 2009 and RAMS (Regulation (EC) 765/2008), UKAS is the only organisation authorised to grant accreditation in the United Kingdom. While operating independently, UKAS works under a formal Memorandum of Understanding with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
  • Through this agreement, UKAS is licensed to confer the national accreditation symbols, representing official Government recognition of the accreditation process.
