Position Summary:
ASSA ABLOY is seeking an energetic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager for its Yale Retail business in Nagpur, responsible for driving business growth in Nagpur and neighboring markets through retail channel partners. The role will involve managing retail sales operations, building channel strength, driving revenue, ensuring timely collections, and developing key influence networks in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve revenue targets for the assigned territory in line with the annual sales plan.
- Evaluate performance of current distributors and retailers; identify and recommend new partners to enhance channel footprint.
- Develop and manage demand generation initiatives and retail activations to improve product visibility and sales.
- Establish structured engagement with key influencers such as carpenters, contractors, architects, and builders.
- Ensure timely collection of payments from channel partners to support healthy working capital.
- Assist in brand building through promotional activities and localized marketing initiatives.
- Organize product training sessions for stakeholders within the distribution network.
- Maximize secondary sales through improved counter presence and market coverage.
- Conduct regular market intelligence to support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good understanding of retail sales operations, preferably in the building materials or consumer durables industry.
- Familiarity with influence and architect ecosystem in Nagpur and surrounding areas.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, responsive, and highly organized.
- High level of ownership, ethical conduct, and result orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in technical stream or engineering; a post-graduate degree in management is an added advantage.
- 6 years of relevant sales experience, ideally in the building materials or related industries.

- This role requires extensive travel across the assigned territory to engage with channel partners and drive business growth.
