ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions is proud to have collaborated with the talented team at INTRO Architecture on what promises to be a flagship development in the highly anticipated Wild Africa precinct at Monarto Safari Park, South Australia. This partnership has allowed us to contribute to the creation of a unique, immersive experience that reflects both our commitment to quality and the shared vision for this world-class project.
Monarto Safari Park, already recognised as the world’s largest zoological park, is home to a diverse range of animals, including African lions, cheetahs, and both white and black rhinos. The park will soon welcome elephants, further cementing its status as a global conservation leader. The new Wild Africa Hotel, a safari park-themed resort, offers families a unique opportunity to experience the essence of Africa, all within the heart of South Australia.
The Wild Africa Hotel is a three-story, mixed-use facility that encompasses 78 rooms and various amenities, including a restaurant, day spa, and pool deck. The design creates a space where guests can enjoy an intimate, tranquil experience, observing wildlife without the distractions of crowds. It provides an environment for reflection and connection with nature in a relaxed, serene setting.
Guests can enjoy authentic African cuisine, personalised safari experiences, natural water play areas, and access to the upcoming Monarto Zoo visitor centre and its attractions. The hotel’s design takes cues from African vernacular architecture, blending the natural colors, shapes, and textures of Africa’s landscapes. This theme is reflected in both the interior and exterior, fostering a seamless connection with the surrounding natural beauty.
Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the design process. With an emphasis on environmentally friendly materials, it was an easy choice to incorporate ASSA ABLOY’s Brass Core range. Brass, known for its recyclability and environmentally conscious qualities, aligns perfectly with the sustainable ethos of the project.
This collaboration highlights ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions dedication to providing innovative, sustainable solutions for prominent projects. The Wild Africa Hotel at Monarto Safari Park is set to become a landmark development, offering guests a distinctive and enriching experience that showcases the beauty of African wildlife alongside the natural surroundings of South Australia.
