ASSA ABLOY is looking to add an Operations Supervisor to our Kent, Washington Service Center … a small, highly visible manufacturing and distribution operation. This role offers the opportunity to serve as the second-in-command, directly impacting daily operations, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

What you will do as our Operations Supervisor?
You will also:
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of 18–20 employees, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Own daily production scheduling and execution, ensuring work is prioritized and completed efficiently
- Maintain a highly visible presence on the manufacturing floor, leading by example in a hands-on, player-coach capacity
- Troubleshoot equipment and support basic mechanical problem solving to minimize downtime
- Hire, onboard, and manage employee performance, including counseling and de-escalating employee situations when needed
- Ensure accurate, efficient order fulfillment with a focus on quality and on-time delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency
- Monitor operational performance and address trends, gaps, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with safety (OSHA), quality, and company standards
- Partner with Customer Service and leadership to ensure smooth order flow from entry through shipment
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment (required)
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive results through others
- Proficiency with ERP systems and strong computer skills, including production scheduling and inventory management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage and de-escalate employee issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to support basic equipment troubleshooting
Preferred:
- Experience in doors, frames, or hardware
- Experience in welding or light manufacturing
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or process improvement concepts
- General understanding of the commercial construction industry

Salary range is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
