  1. Position: Category Manager
  2. Report to: Sourcing Senior Manager
  3. Working time: 8:00 – 17:00 | Monday – Friday
  4. Location: Factory No.6, Lot CN6, Ba Thien Industrial Park, Ba Hien Town, Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc
  5. Responsibility:
  • In the initial stage of product design, cooperate with R&D to find new materials and support material selection in R&D and design process.
  • Manage VN mechanical plant supply base development, supplier selection and management.
  • Be responsible for RFQ, commercial negotiation and related agreement singing, including NDA, COC, frame purchase agreement etc.
  • Monitor and maintain the sourcing procedures and make sure the process efficiency.
  • Maintain material prices timely in system through trade agreement management.
  • Support and work closely with purchase to pay process for right delivery, quality and services.
  • Localization of material and services under the supports of GCSEA Category Managers.
  • Manage supplier performance through scorecard and SBR development. Develops relationships with key business owners to understand the categories short- and long-term goals and needs of the business (including demand, quality expectations, delivery needs and cost)
  • Be responsible for materials pricing, procurement quotas and cost development.
  • Coordinate supplier quality management activities, to ensure sustainable delivery, stable supplier’s quality performance with continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement and manage the procurement process for other strategic spend including post award measurement processes and on-going management that meet all internal needs of Engineer, Quality, Finance, Legal and Procurement.
  • Weekly and monthly report and tracking of sourcing performance and KPIs.
  • Follow GCSEA sourcing & category management strategies with the focus on maximizing business value and customer satisfaction.
  • Plans, develops and implements business plans and budgets, including long-term objectives, performance goals and metrics.
  1. Requirement:
  • Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical, engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing procurement & Supply Chain, 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Sourcing manager’s role.
  • Experienced in mechanical hardware products with knowledge of die casting, machining, painting, volume assembly manufacturing process. Indirect sourcing experience is also preferred.
  • Awareness of ERP systems with preference of Microsoft AX.
  • Experience for plant localization with multiple entities’ sourcing responsibility will be a plus.
  • Practical and hands-on working style with analytic & logic thinking.
  • Have good professional ethics quality, strong pressure resistance, innovation, self-motivation, good communication skills.
  • Strong in Leadership skill & also strong work independently requirement.
  • Being able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin is additional preferred.
  • The role requires travelling.
