Summary

Reporting to the ANZ Director, as the Security Consultant and Technical Training Manager, you will have a dual role in managing and supporting the PACS consultant community customers and developing/delivering product and services focused technical training in the ANZ region.

 

 

As our Security Consultant and Training Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Role Objectives Other duties may be assigned.
    • Establish and deliver a consistent manufacturer-led access control training and certification ecosystem
    • Ensure correct design, configuration, and use of the HID’s products in the field
    • Reduce partner deployment risk, support escalations, and warranty issues
    • Support revenue growth through improved solution confidence and partner capability
    • Provide authoritative access control consultant training aligned to product roadmap and architecture

 

  • Key Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
  • Training and Security Governance
        • Align training to product roadmaps, New Product Introductions (NPI),
        • Work with global teams on accreditation programs for channel partners and integrators
  • Product Centric Training Development
        • Readers, credentials, controllers
        • Mobile access, biometrics
  • Training and Delivery Enablement Operations
        • Classroom and virtual technical training
        • Partner bootcamps and certification sessions
  • Act independently and be able to act as a trusted advisor to customers and prospects throughout the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with regional and strategic sales teams to drive growth
  • Keep yourself informed regularly of the evolution of HID product and service offerings, and of transformations in the group's strategy regarding new offers offered to customers
  • Establish and maintain a Security Consultant engagement framework via regular
      • Training workshops
      • Classroom and virtual technical training
      • Security project design reviews relating to HID products and services

  • Collaboration
  • Partner closely with:
      • Product Management – roadmap alignment, NPI readiness
      • Engineering – field feedback, escalations
      • Sales & GTM Teams – solution confidence and consistency
      • Marketing – alignment with solution messaging and value propositions
  • Ensure insights from training and consultant feedback loops influence product evolution.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.      

 

 

Your Education and Experience include:  

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent 
  • A minimum of 5+ years in sales roles and/or technical support experience
  • Previous experience of selling Physical Access Control solutions would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a solution selling environment specifically Saas and/or Cloud based licensing models would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work as a self-starter, but also a work effectively as part of a team
  • Hands on attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects, successfully prioritizing
  • Knowledge/experience of selling RFID / Physical Access Control solutions

Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
