Morten Rasmussen helps to keep the doors of Denmark’s postal service, Post Nord, open all hours.

“We are available 24/7,” Morten says. “If a problem occurs at three o’clock on a Saturday morning, one of our technicians will be there within two hours and most of the time much earlier.”

In most cases, Morten and his colleagues are able to solve a problem immediately, using the large amount of spare parts that they always have with them. “We have had PostNord as a customer for almost 20 years,” Morten says. “So we have a lot of knowledge about them and what they need.”

When Morten arrives at PostNord to repair a gate, for example, he always inspects the condition of the surrounding gates to prevent further problems in the future. In some cases, Morten and his colleagues also suggest changes to the infrastructure to reduce problems.

The customers can focus on their business, knowing that the doors will stay open and that ASSA ABLOY’s technicians will arrive quickly if an issue arises. “We go to the location, examine the problem and take action,” Morten says.
