There are four panic functions in total:
Panic function B (switching function): The doors can be opened from the inside at any time using the handle or the push bar (panic function). The door can only be opened from the outside with a key if the door is locked. If necessary, daytime operation can be activated by turning the key in the opening direction. The door can thus be accessed from both sides via the handle. After locking, the external handle is disengaged again.
Panic function E (changeover function): A knob or push handle is mounted on the outside, which means that opening is only possible with a key using what is known as the changeover function. A handle or push bar is mounted on the inside, which allows the door to be opened in the escape direction at any time. This function is particularly suitable for a defined group of people.
Panic function D (transit function): The door can be unlocked from the inside at any time by actuating the handle or push bar (panic function). If the door is opened from the inside, the outside handle is also automatically engaged. The door can then also be accessed from the outside via the handle. A key is no longer required. When the door is locked with the key, the outside handle is disengaged again and the door can only be accessed from the outside with a key.
Panic function C (forced closure function): The door can be unlocked from the inside at any time by actuating the handle or push bar, regardless of whether it is locked. The outside handle is in neutral and is engaged by a key movement in the opening direction. As soon as the door is closed again and the cylinder is in the 0 position, the outside handle is in neutral again.
