Leading the way with the latest security technology, iRevo is at the forefront of the digital door-lock revolution in China.

With the rapid growth in housing, high-end office buildings and hotels, as well as a growing demand for high-security products from national defense, public security, financial and other sectors, digital door locks have taken off in China.

In developing the digital door-lock market in China, iRevo, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand based in South Korea, faces fierce competition from many small-scale local manufacturers. Instead of competing on price at the low end of the market, iRevo focuses on the top-tier cities and provides high-quality, localized Yale-branded digital door locks. An ever-increasing number of real-estate developers in China see digital door locks as a must-have fitting for their luxury properties.

“In China, Yale digital door locks have been used in nearly 300 property projects. And because the second-generation biometric technology is now very mature, the market prices of digital door locks have also dropped substantially,” says Harrison Kim, managing director of iRevo China.

iRevo has developed a digital door lock that now ranks among the world’s top 10 most secure digital electronic locks. These locks boast an impressive range of security features, including floating ID and wireless displacement ID-encryption technology, touchpad pin codes, RFID readers, three-point deadlocks, thermal and capacitive fingerprint-scanning, as well as burglar and gas alarms.

iRevo has recently established a factory at Songjiang Industrial Complex in Shanghai to manufacture digital door locks for both the Chinese market and global export. The factory in Shanghai follows the same manufacturing and quality-control processes as those in South Korea and a team of dedicated R&D staff handles new product development to reflect the needs of local customers.

iRevo has also launched “Yale Digital House” sales outlets that show how digital lock technology can make a difference in the daily lives of customers in China’s major cities. Thanks to its great products, support and promotions, iRevo believes that digital locks are set to achieve good market penetration in China within the next three to five years.
