Optimum performance in mortice locks

The new Optimum Mortice Lock range from ASSA ABLOY New Zealand is designed for residential aluminum doors in the Australasian market.

4 point optimum mortice lock from ASSA ABLOY New Zealand.“Customer input played a vital role in the development of the Optimum range,” says Chris Hancox, business and product development manager for ASSA ABLOY New Zealand. “During the development process, we worked with industry-leading aluminum fabricators to ensure that the new locking system suited their needs.”

The Optimum range provides improved functions and features. “Ease of operation for multi-point locking versions has been achieved through a more intuitive sequencing of locking points,” Hancox explains. “In addition, when the shoot bolts are engaged, Optimum provides added security and greater seal compression.” The Optimum is available with enhanced furniture options, which incorporate a lock status indicator, Lockalert, and a snib for security at home.

ASSA ABLOY New Zealand worked in close collaboration with ASSA ABLOY Australia’s Design team and Product Managers to develop a range of locks that caters for the different market requirements of each country. The Optimum Mortice Lock range includes a 1, 2 and 4-point lock for hinged doors and a 1 and 3-point lock for sliding door applications.
