New Chinese hotel goes Classic by VingCard

Renowned worldwide for its reliability in hotels worldwide, VingCard, part of the ASSA ABLOY family, has completed the installation of its Classic hotel electronic locking solution at the newly opened 49-storey Houjie International Hotel in Dongguan, China – one of the country’s busiest business areas.

Zhenbiao Luo, executive auditor at the hotel, says that because the property is located in the business district of one of most vibrant economic areas in China, it required a high-security solution.

“The Classic lock has allowed us to meet the unique security needs of our property while satisfying the demands of our guests,” Luo says.

VingCard’s Classic lock is controlled by software in the individual lock and activated by cards coded in the issuing computer. As the cylinder is recoded from outside of the lock, the key cards can be recoded without disturbing guests at the property.

“When we built this property, we knew we needed a simple, reliable security solution that could deal with heavy traffic,” Luo says. “With Classic, our staff can depend on its features, including the 600-event audit trail and new ‘flash’ technology that allows us to reprogram or update locks without replacing expensive hardware, to help our staff maintain efficient security at all times.”

Tommy Leung, Managing Director ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Greater China, says that the proven performance of the Classic lock solution in hotel properties worldwide has made the product one of VingCard’s top-selling security systems globally.

“The easy-to-use features provide properties with a secure, long-term locking solution that our customers can count on,” Leung says.
