New swingdoor will help Europe meet accessibility goals

The roll out of Besam's newest swing door operator continues in Europe, with nine countries launching the SW100 this year.

The low-energy SW100 meets national requirements for disabled access in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The European Union is expected to adopt similar regulations in 2010 in requiring places of public accommodation to be freely accessible to persons with physical disabilities. Places of public accommodation include a wide range of facilities such as government buildings, restaurants, hotels, theaters, hospitals, pharmacies, retail stores, museums, libraries and day care centers.

swingdoorThe goal is that SW100 will be top-of-mind when government offices and businesses start making plans for meeting the new accessibility directive.

Besam sales offices in the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden are now selling the highly intelligent operator, while Austria, Hungary and Germany are preparing to launch it this summer.
