ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems UK was proud to supply dock levelers, dock doors, bay shelters, traffic lights, dock lights and level access doors for the G.Park Blue Planet warehouse – the first building to achieve an “Outstanding” BREEAM rating for sustainability.
McLaren Construction, which was contracted to build the 35,500 square meters environmentally sensitive warehouse, involved ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems UK colleagues specializing in Industrial Door & Docking Solutions at an early stage of the development as Crawford follows sustainability policies and had demonstrated its ability to meet Gazeley’s stringent specifications.
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems UK delivered 38 Crawford dock levelers for the warehouse and also supplied and installed dock doors, bay shelters, traffic lights, dock lights and level access doors. ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems UK also supplied a three-year service contract for all products.
The majority of materials used in the building are either A or A+ rated in the Green Guide to Specification that forms part of the BRE Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), an environmental and sustainability scoring system established in the UK by the Building Research Establishment (BRE).
