Thousands of World Cup fans will walk through Besam doors

The 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament is now underway in South Africa and Besam automatic entrances are greeting many of the fans arriving for the matches.

Over 100 Besam UniSlide operators are installed at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, where two of the World Cup tournament’s 10 venues are located; Soccer City Stadium (capacity:  91,000) and Ellis Park Stadium (capacity: 62,500).

Additionally, Besam has been selected the preferred supplier of automatic doors for the airport and will be installing 26 new UniSlide operators as part of an upgrade of the Domestic Terminal Building later this summer.

Besam doors were also chosen for a specially created FIFA 2010 Soccer Arrival Lounge at the Bloemfontein Airport. Free State Stadium (capacity: 48,000) in Bloemfontein will also host a number of matches.

Besam UniSlide operators have also been installed at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg (capacity: 44.500) as well as the Royal Bafokeng Hotel, which will house the England team and their guests during the tournament.

Besam has had a local presence in Johannesburg and Cape Town since 2008 providing complete solutions in automated entrances including service.
