High security yet user friendly

When your business deals with handling confidential documents, security is a high priority. Real Digital, the UK’s leading digital media firm, turned to ASSA ABLOY Door Solutions to secure its major printing works.

Real Digital wanted to boost its physical security in a staff-friendly way. This was particularly important as the Croydon facility includes a gym, restaurant and staff rest and leisure facilities as well as offices and work areas.

“The printing division operates 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week so striking the right balance between security and functionally was a real priority for us,” says Peter Rivett, Managing Director of Real Digital.

ASSA ABLOY Door solutions specified an integrated physical security system with electronic locking technology and steel doors.

Using ASSA Modular lockcases and Twin Combi mechanical keys assured the highest level of security by combining access control methods with a physical security solution that operates with existing security methods. Security was further increased by using heavy-duty master keys that were cut with unique side codes to prevent unauthorized access to the key blanks.

Created as a modular system, the solution can be easily updated or expanded to meet Real Digital’s future needs, while the range of architectural touches, such as designer door furniture, ensures an aesthetic finish.

Kevin continues “As a result complete door solutions, combining security steel doors, with ASSA Evolution high security locks and exit devices were provided. Tom Jenkins, High Security Manager of ASSA ABLOY Door Solutions managed the project including specification and installation.”
