At year-end 2012 ASSA ABLOY had 17,591 shareholders (18,697). The principal shareholders are Investment AB Latour (9.5 percent of the share capital and 29.5 percent of the votes) and Melker Schörling AB (3.9 percent of the share capital and 11.5 percent of the votes). Foreign shareholders accounted for around 68 percent (64) of the share capital and around 46 percent (44) of the votes. The ten largest shareholders accounted for around 38 percent (38) of the share capital and around 58 percent (58) of the votes.
