New designs demand smart solutions
New designs look for green elements and narrower frames and stiles in door openings.
In the past, aluminum and glass doors were seen predominantly on exterior storefronts, where the primary consideration was securing the opening, with design often taking a secondary position.
In today’s world, with architects designing environments that use more “green” elements, glass and aluminum openings are becoming increasingly popular because of the adaptability and eco-friendly nature of the materials. In addition, these flexible mediums allow the interior spaces to take advantage of natural outdoor light to reduce energy consumption – a focal point for everyone.
However, with the newer designs that call for narrower frames and stiles, there was a need for a product in a small package that would complement these designs and not detract from the beauty of the opening. As the security landscape changed, Adams Rite turned its focus to providing solutions that met the new design criteria. A result of this effort is the New Dual Force 2190.
